Deputy Sheriff

Dane County Sheriff’s Office is actively recruiting for the position of Deputy Sheriff. The Sheriff’s Office hires about 20 to 30 Deputies annually and accepts applications year round. Vacant positions currently exist and more are anticipated before the end of the year.

As a Deputy Sheriff with Dane County Sheriff’s Office, you may be asked to perform various functions including patrol, traffic enforcement, supervision of jail inmates, criminal investigations, court bailiff, serving warrants and civil papers, crime lab technician and training.
